Tale of Two Cities Character Opposites

The characters in Tale of Two Cities really are some of the best. It's interesting to me that Dickens chose to create characters who seem to be opposites.

What character opposites did you notice and enjoy?

Additionally. did you notice who is Lucie Manette's opposite?

This one I think it more symbolic than anything.

I had a reading group of Tale of Two Cities a few years ago and we were talking about the characters, and one of my friend's said, "I think Lucie's opposite is the revolution."

Every time I read this story, I consider that perspective. And I think it's a profound idea. It also helps me to understand why Lucie's character is as sweet at she is.

Thoughts?

Thank you for joining me on this Tale of Two Cities journey! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
